Abdul KhanFounder, Apoko Group

Abdul Khan is the founder of Apoko Group, a digital branding company for athletes and celebrities, which also counts NBA stars Baron Davis and Steve Nash as co-founders.  Prior to Apoko, Abdul was the founding CEO of IBeatYou, the largest pro-athlete owned platform for branded user generated contests, having reached 100 million views and over 250,000 contests and powering contests for multi-million user platforms such as Photobucket.  Abdul was IBeatYou’s CEO through its sale to OVGuide in 2010.  Previously, Abdul was a VC with Crosslink Capital, where he was responsible for consumer Internet and digital media investments in companies including Pandora, Omniture and Ancestry.com.  Abdul started his career as a technology investment banker at UBS, where he worked on digital media financings with companies such as Activision, Midway Games and Acclaim Entertainment.

Adam NashEIR, Greylock Partners

Adam Nash is an Executive in Residence at Greylock Partners.  Previously, he was Vice President of Search & Platform Products at LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network. Before LinkedIn, he held a variety of strategic and technical roles at eBay, Atlas Venture, Preview Systems, and Apple. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from Stanford University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Aileen LeePartner, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers

Aileen Lee is a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers; she joined in 1999. Her primary area of focus is working with consumer-oriented digital companies. Aileen has worked closely with the teams at companies such as ShopKick, Zazzle, Bloom Energy, Miasole, Blue Nile (NASDAQ: Nile), Friendster (acquired by MOL Global), Good Technology (acquired by MOT), and Tellme (acquired by MSFT). She currently works with companies including Callaway Digital Arts, Offermatic, One Kings Lane, Plum District, Rent the Runway and RMG Networks (formerly Danoo), where she was founding CEO for two years. Prior to joining KPCB, Aileen worked at Gap Inc. in various operating roles. These included product management and marketing for Gap Online, as special assistant to Gap Inc.'s CEO, and in business development. She has also worked for Odwalla and for The North Face in brand and product marketing. Aileen began her career at Morgan Stanley in technology mergers & acquisitions. She has a Bachelor of Science from MIT, an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and is a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute

Ajay ChopraGeneral Partner, Trinity Ventures

Ajay Chopra is a General Partner at Trinity Ventures. Since joining Trinity Ventures in 2006, Ajay has developed a reputation as an entrepreneur’s coach. His passion is helping entrepreneurs execute their Big Idea. He has over 20 years of operating experience at the senior management and board level with start‐ups, private companies and public companies. Prior to joining Trinity Ventures, Ajay co-founded Pinnacle Systems, a seminal media technology company that pioneered consumer generated media creation. During his tenure at Pinnacle, the company grew from start‐up stage to a global $350M public company, won several Emmy awards and completed over a dozen M&A transactions before being acquired by Avid Technology. Previously, Ajay was with Mindset Corporation, a computer graphics start‐up. Before Mindset, he held various technical and management positions at Atari Corporation, a video games company, and Unisys Corporation, an IT services company. He is a charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs, an active group providing support for entrepreneurs and is on the Board of Trustees of the Harker School in San Jose. Ajay holds a M.S.E.E. from Stony Brook University and a B.S.E.E. from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science in India. His investments at Trinity include 21 ViaNet (VNET), CrowdFlower (Dolores Labs), Dynamic Signal, Mobile Messenger, RadiumOne (formerly gWallet), Red Aril, Skyfire, TubeMogul, White Sky, and Ankeena (acquired by Juniper Networks - JNPR).

Alex SherstinskyVP Product Development, CatchFree

Alex Sherstinsky is the Vice President of Product Development at CatchFree, Inc. CatchFree makes it easy to compare and choose the best free online solution for your exact need. Most recently, Alex Sherstinsky – with Eugene Mandel – co-founded MustExist, Inc. Responsibilities included the leading of all aspects of starting and running a software company: incorporation, product strategy, development, sales, partnerships, intellectual property, etc. The company's core technology, Social Content Curation, was embodied in a product called Buzzworthy, which was used by more than 7,000 websites on Webs.com for content marketing. Before MustExist, Alex was a member of the founding team at NebuAd, Inc. Funded by Menlo Ventures and Sierra Ventures, NebuAd built an online advertising network in partnership with Internet Service Providers. As the V.P. of Product Development, Alex headed Product Management, Product Development, and Network Operations. Prior to NebuAd, Alex was Senior Director of Products at FaceTime Communications, Inc. (now Actiance, Inc.), a leader in security, management, and compliance for Internet communications. At FaceTime, he led the development, delivery, and marketing of FaceTime's technology platform, product lines, and partnerships since the company's founding in 1997. Before FaceTime, Alex worked at several other start-ups, consulted for AT&T, and held internships at LSI Logic and Hewlett-Packard. Alex Sherstinsky holds PhD/ScD and MS degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS degree from the University of California, Berkeley in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. His doctorate and post-doctorate research work was conducted at the M.I.T. Media Laboratory. Alex Sherstinsky is the holder of four U.S. patents.  

Alexander LloydManaging Partner, Accelerator Ventures

Alexander Lloyd is the founder and managing partner of Accelerator Ventures, a venture fund focused on seed-stage investments. Prior to founding Accelerator Ventures, Alexander was a venture partner at Rustic Canyon Partners, where he oversaw the development of their seed-stage investment strategy. Before working in Venture Capital, Alexander was the Business Development Manager in Microsoft's Silicon Valley office responsible for Microsoft's relationships with the West Coast venture capital and startup community. Alexander has also worked as a Product Manager in SGIs workstation division and has held marketing positions at Activision and Apple Computer. Alexander began his career at Goldman Sachs, where he spent three years as a financial analyst. Born in New York City, Alexander was raised in Paris, France, and is fluent in French. Alexander earned a BA in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School. He sits on the boards of SF Camerawork and Junior Achievement of San Francisco.

Ali RosenthalFormer Head of Business Development, Facebook

Ali Rosenthal served as Senior Manager of Facebook, Inc. from February 2006 to July 2008. From February 2006 to January 2011, Ms. Rosenthal led various initiatives in the Business Development Department at Facebook, Inc., where she served as Head of the Global Operator Program, Mobile from July 2008 to January 2011. Ms. Rosenthal also served as an associate at General Atlantic Partners, LLC, a global private equity fund focused on IT, from February 2001 to June 2003 and as an analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co., a leading global investment banking and securities firm, from July 1998 until July 2000. Ms. Rosenthal joined General Atlantic Partners in 2001. She has been Independent Director of AutoNation Inc. since March 14, 2011. She obtained her B.A. from Brown University in 1998.

Amit KapurCEO & Co-Founder, Gravity

Amit Kapur is the CEO and co-founder of Gravity, a technology company that understands your interests in order to deliver you a personalized web. He was formerly the COO of MySpace, where he led operations, business development, and strategic partnerships for the company. He was an early employee, helping build and run MySpace Music and MySpace Mobile from the ground up. During his time as COO, MySpace rose to 125 million users worldwide and was profitable with nearly a billion dollars in revenue as part of Fox Interactive Media. Amit studied Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University.

Amy ErrettPartner, Maveron

Amy is our horseback riding, fly-fishing, black-diamond snowboarding, wine collecting, SF Giants-loving Californian. She joined the Maveron team as a partner in 2008, expanding our operations beyond the rain of the Pacific Northwest’s Seattle to the fog of San Francisco. She offers Maveron more than 25 years of business and operating expertise as a leading entrepreneur, senior executive and social-mission visionary. Her focal points are emerging Web enabled consumer trends, e-commerce social shopping, and online education. Amy currently serves on the Altius Education, Course Hero, KidZui, Livemocha, Mozes and VideoEgg boards of directors. Amy’s multifaceted career has ranged from the online Web 2.0 media industry to the offline consumer marketplace, and has stretched as far as volunteer nonprofit leadership. Most recently, she was chief executive officer and an owner of Olivia, repositioning the travel company as a complete lifestyle company for gay women both online and offline while multiplying revenues from $5 million to $25 million in 2007. In 2006, she was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Northern California. Prior to her work at Olivia in 2002, she founded and served as chair and chief executive officer of The Spectrem Group, a worldwide strategic consulting, information, and M&A advisory firm. Amy sold Spectrem to an IPG subsidiary, NFO Worldwide (NYSE:NFO) in 1996. After the sale, she joined the senior management team at E*Trade where she diversified the company’s business beyond brokerage and ran a $200 million business that encompassed the management of E*Trade’s growth areas, including their business-to-business stock option division, and launched a successful asset-based products and investment management services division. Among Amy's citations is the Israel Fellows Award, presented by the San Francisco–based Jewish Community Federation. A passionate humanitarian, Amy is the chair of the board of Glide Foundation, San Francisco’s largest nongovernmental, direct social services organization. Amy is also a member of San Francisco’s Barbary Coast chapter of YPO and serves on the board of Wharton West. A New York native, Amy earned an MBA in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in liberal arts from the University of Connecticut. She is a fanatical UCONN Huskies fan where she was a student athlete. (This makes for fascinating partner meetings during basketball season since she is not a DUKE fan!) She and her partner live in San Francisco with their daughter.

Andrew SolmssenManaging Director, Possible (WPP)

Andrew has over 15 years experience in digital. Work he’s led has received a Gold Cannes Lion, 2 Emmys, OMMA, BDA, W3, Ad:Tech, and many other awards, and he is a regular columnist in a variety of trade publications. Recent speaking engagements include International CES, Ad:Tech, Digital Hollywood, OMMA, and NATPE. He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (the Emmys). As Managing Director for Possible (WPP), he serves as executive sponsor for key relationships, providing digital strategy consulting to Fortune 500 brands across the agency’s portfolio. In addition, he runs Possible’s Los Angeles office and serves as part of the executive management team that directs the global agency’s 1200 staff across 24 offices. Prior to Possible, Andrew co-founded Schematic where he ran relationships with clients including Target, Comcast, ABC, Viacom, and Microsoft. He was instrumental in the company’s growth from 3 people to one of the world’s top digital agencies and its sale to WPP in 2007. Before Schematic, he served as Executive Producer at KPE (a division of Grey Advertising) in New York. At KPE, Andrew spearheaded major initiatives for Variety, Turner, and AOL. Sent west to start KPE’s Los Angeles office, Andrew grew that business, producing brand-building sites and software projects for clients including Nielsen, New Line Cinema, and Princess Cruises. Before the dawn of digital media, Andrew lived in Namibia working for the Harvard Institute for International Development.  He is a graduate of Hamilton College who spends his time away from work playing hockey, surfing, and enjoying his wife and twin sons.

Anthony SoohooSVP & GM Entertainment & Lifestyle Division, CBS Interactive

Anthony Soohoo most recently served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Entertainment & Lifestyle Division at CBS Interactive.  In this role he was responsible for overseeing CBS.com, TV.com, The Insider.com, Chow, Chowhound, UrbanBaby, CBS Audience Network, and CBS Interactive Web Original Studio.  Under Soohoo’s leadership, the CBS Interactive Entertainment Division grew to become one of the leading entertainment networks on the web. Soohoo joined CBS in 2007 with its acquisition of Dotspotter, one of the fastest growing community-powered entertainment properties on the Internet where he served as co-founder and CEO. Prior to founding Dotspotter, Anthony was Vice President at Yahoo! responsible for the strategy, management, development and financial performance for various business units. Prior to Yahoo!, Anthony was COO of ALWAYSi, a user-generated video startup, leading the daily operations of the business, and shepherding the company towards a successful acquisition by Hollywood Media Corporation (NASDAQ: HOLL). Previously, Anthony held product management positions at early web search company Inktomi and Apple.  Anthony was selected by The Hollywood Reporter for their Digital Power List, noting of the top 50 executives leading the charge in new media content.  Anthony earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ari MirFounder & CEO, Lunch Money

Ari Mir is a serial entrepreneur, focused on utilizing technology to solve real world problems. Prior to co-founding GumGum, Ari co-founded and sold Mojungle, a mobile media-sharing platform. Having worked at BizRate.com and LowerMyBills.com, Ari also has an extensive background in monetizing web traffic. Raised in Los Angeles, he graduated from the University of Southern California with a BS from the Marshall School of Business.

Beau is a General Partner of Steamboat Ventures. Ben NarasinPresident Seed Stage Investments, TriplePoint Ventures

Ben Narasin serves as President, Seed Stage Investments and oversees seed funding investment activities at TriplePoint Ventures. Most recently, Mr. Narasin, an entrepreneur since the age of twelve, spent much of the early 2000s acquiring companies in the consumer Internet and e-commerce industries and providing liquidity to shareholders. Prior to his acquisition investment and consulting roles, he founded Fashionmall.com in 1993 which became one of the first e-commerce companies in the world and the first cost-per-click portal. He took Fashionmall.com through a successful public offering in 1999. Prior to that, Mr. Narasin founded and acted as CEO of a consumer products company. When not overseeing investment activities, Mr. Narasin manages to be a free lance food and wine writer, a lifelong passion. Mr. Narasin’s works have appeared in numerous publications including San Francisco Chronicle, Wine Enthusiast, Wine News, Health Magazine and various other consumer trade magazines. Mr. Narasin holds a B.A. in Entrepreneurial Studies from Babson College.

Bernard MoonCo-founder & CEO of Vidquik

Bernard is Co-founder & CEO of Vidquik, a new web conferencing platform. He’s a serial entrepreneur who has raised over $50 million in venture capital.  Previously, he was Managing Director of the Lunsford Group, which is a private investment firm consisting of entities in real estate, healthcare and other industries.  He was Co-founder and VP of Business Development at GoingOn Networks, a social media platform for companies, and led their product development where BusinessWeek recognized GoingOn in their "Best of the Web" list.  Bernard was a Director at iRG, a leading boutique investment bank in Hong Kong, where he focused on TMT companies.  He is also a frequent guest writer for various technology blogs, such as VentureBeat, Mashable and ReadWriteWeb.  He completed a post-graduate fellowship with the Coro Foundation. He received his MPA in Telecom and New Media Policy from Columbia University and a BA in English and Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Bob HoldenExecutive & Entrepreneur

Bob was the Chief Operating Officer at TreatFeed.com and is responsible for the company's content and merchandising strategies. Prior to TreatFeed, Bob was Vice President of North American Singles at eHarmony, Inc. where he had P&L responsibility for the entire North American Business Unit and direct responsibility for the global product management team. His experience includes being General Manager at Rent.com and several other operating roles at eBay, including the Director and General Manager of the North American division of eBay Express. Other past experience includes five years with Procter & Gamble as a manufacturing engineer. Bob holds an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University.

Brandon RamseyFounder & CEO, Fanhood

Brandon Ramsey is the Founder and CEO of Fanhood which develops social applications on Facebook and Mobile that make following sports with friends easier and more fun. Previously, Brandon Co-Founded BigDeal.com, an auction based e-commerce site, where he served as COO/CTO, designed the product and led all of the company’s technical efforts. Earlier in his career, he led Engineering efforts for Yahoo! Travel, was Head of Engineering for Yahoo! Shopping and built out the Yahoo! Deals platform. Brandon joined Yahoo! through the acquisition of FareChase.com, the pioneering travel aggregator, where he began his entrepreneurial career. Brandon holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Auburn University. He is a die hard fan of the Auburn Tigers and San Jose Sharks – it is a unique look when he dresses in combination.

Brett MarkinsonFounding Partner of Lagovent Ventures Group, LLC

Brett Markinson is a founding partner of Lagovent Ventures Group, LLC. In that capacity, Brett co-leads the development of incubation and partnership projects. Brett co-founded HauteLook Inc., which provides premium fashion and lifestyle brands with an innovative solution to move inventory and Solesociety, a personalized shoe club that provides designer quality, on-trend shoes. Over the past 20 years, Brett has been actively involved in the development of a number of disruptive technology businesses. Brian GarrettCo-Founder & Managing Director of Crosscut Ventures

Brian Garrett is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Crosscut Ventures. For his entire career, Brian has been involved in building and funding early-stage technology and media companies. Brian is very active in the Southern California start-up community and currently works with the Boards of GumGum, Verve Wireless, Pulpo Media, Shoedazzle, GraphEffect and Circle Street. Prior to co-founding Crosscut, Brian was a Partner at one of the largest Southern California-based venture funds. He joined there in 2001 and played an active role in managing and investing three funds over six years totaling more than $500 million. He was the sponsor and/or an active board member of nine Palomar portfolio companies, including successes such as DataAllegro (data warehouse appliance company sold to Microsoft in 2008), Entone (video on demand server company sold to Harmonic in 2006), Gamma Enterprise Technologies (sold to Informatica in 2009) and Lombardi Software (stand-alone leader in the business process management software market). Prior to Palomar, Brian was the Director of Business Development at Niku Corporation. Niku developed Professional Service Automation software for Global 2000 companies. He led business development efforts for iNiku.com, an online workplace for independent professionals. Niku subsequently went public and then was acquired by Computer Associates in 2006. Prior to Niku, Brian was with a boutique strategy consulting firm called R.B. Webber & Company. He worked with many leading early-stage technology companies including CommerceOne, Inktomi, Sagent, Aurum and Broadbase. He worked with these companies in their earliest phases of growth and contributed strategically to their success by working on all facets of their business including business plan writing, market entry strategy, and primary market and pricing research. The firm also began formally investing in many of the early-stage companies with which it worked and this was his first exposure to and involvement in venture capital investing. He has continued to refine the skill of evaluating new business opportunities since 1995. Brian received his MBA from Stanford's Graduate School of Business and he graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering.

Brian LeeFounder, ShoeDazzle and Co-Founder, LegalZoom

Brian Lee is the Founder of ShoeDazzle and the Co-Founder of LegalZoom. He was formerly an attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP and a former Manager at Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Mr. Lee graduated Magna Cum Laude with at B.A. in Economics/Business from UCLA and received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law

Brian O’MalleyPartner, Battery Ventures

Brian O’Malley is a Partner at Battery Ventures. He joined Battery in 2004 and focuses on investments in eCommerce, online marketplaces and internet applications. During his tenure at Battery, he originated or led the investments in Bazaarvoice, Coupa, Fashionstake, H.BLOOM, Insitu (acquired by Boeing), J. Hilburn, Joor, HotelTonight, Loosecubes, Peerflix (acquired by Live Universe), Serena & Lily, Skullcandy, Slime Sandwich, TradeKing, Viddy, and World Golf Tour. He was one of the first at Battery to drive seed investments. Prior to Battery, Brian spent several years at Bowstreet, Inc. (acquired by NYSE: IBM), as Director of West Coast Technical Sales and the Business Development team's Technical Evangelist. Earlier in his career, Brian assisted founding teams at Matrics, Inc. (acquired by NYSE: MOT) and Compoze Software (acquired by NASD: ORCL) with go-to-market strategy and initial fundraising activities. He also worked for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young's Center for Business Innovation, Pequot Ventures and was a web developer for Motorola Computer Group. Brian actively mentors students through several business school programs, including Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon, Columbia, Stanford and Wharton. He graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics.

Brian SpalyCEO, Trunk Club and Co-Founder, Bonobos

Brian is Trunk Club’s CEO. Now leading his second venture-backed fashion start-up, Brian is focused on making it incredibly easy for guys to discover awesome clothing without the hassles of the traditional shopping experience. Prior to leading Trunk Club, Brian founded Bonobos, a men’s clothing company that is famous for the best fitting pants on earth. Under the leadership of Brian and his co-founder Andy, Bonobos was named one of the fifty hottest brands in America by AdAge in 2009. Brian holds an MBA from Stanford and a BA from Princeton.

Bryan PerezPresident of Digital, Ticket, and Media, AEG

Bryan Perez is currently the President of Digital, Ticket, and Media at AEG. Bryan was the senior vice president and general manager for NBA Digital responsible for the day-to-day operations of the NBA Digital portfolio. He oversees all aspects including programming, operations, editorial, ecommerce and marketing. Mr. Perez’s professional background includes most recently serving as CEO of Live Nation’s Global Digital division.  In this position, he established and built the new division and was responsible for the company’s worldwide internet, wireless, ticketing, and IT strategy and operations.  While at Live Nation, Mr. Perez also served as president of the Global Digital division for a year and president of the Digital Distribution division.From 2004-2005 Mr. Perez worked as executive vice president of strategy and business development for Clear Channel Entertainment, and before joining Clear Channel, he was executive vice president of marketing and communications for the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars.

Byron DeeterPartner, Bessemer Venture Partners

Byron Deeter, a partner in Bessemer’s Menlo Park, Calif. office, joined the firm in 2005. At Bessemer, he focuses on investments in the cloud-computing and Internet sectors. His investments at Bessemer include leading companies in online B2B marketing (Bizo); social-marketing platforms (Involver); enterprise talent management (Cornerstone OnDemand, IPO); online personalized retargeting (Criteo); marketing automation (Eloqua); financial-management and accounting applications (Intacct Corp.); social gaming (Playdom, acquired by Disney); cloud communications (Twilio); electronic signatures (DocuSign); content management (Box); and retail business intelligence (Retail Solutions). Prior to joining Bessemer, Byron was a successful entrepreneur, investor and consultant. He most recently worked as an executive at IBM after the company’s 2004 acquisition of Trigo Technologies, the cloud-computing company he co-founded in 1999. At Trigo, Byron served as founding president & CEO, then became vice-president of business development as the company grew to profitability, amassed 150 employees and logged a $40+ million revenue run-rate. Bessemer worked closely with Byron and the executive team after Trigo's founding and invested in all institutional financing rounds. Prior to Trigo, Byron worked in private equity with TA Associates, where he focused on the software sector and invested in companies such as Kintana (acquired by Mercury Interactive). He came to TA from McKinsey & Co., where he was involved with Fortune 500 clients in the media and technology industries, and was active in McKinsey's innovation and technology-management practice. Howard is a managing partner at First Round Capital. He has more than 25 years of experience serving as a mentor, advisor and investor in entrepreneurial ventures. Howard was Professor of Decision Sciences at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Professor of Computer Science at the Moore School at the University of Pennsylvania from 1972 through 1985. He has been a Visiting Professor at the California Institute of Technology and the Harvard Business School. His research on user interface technology, and on optimization of computer networks led to his bringing the ARPAnet to Philadelphia in 1974. As a result of this early participation in the internet, he advised many corporate and government agencies on the uses of electronic and voice mail, implementing it throughout the Wharton School in the mid 1970s. From 1983 to 1989, he served as President of Renaissance Technologies Corp. Since 1989, he has been President of the Arca Group, Inc., nurturing early stage companies and taking them from seed stage through initial public offerings. He also serves as a Director of Idealab, where he was a founding investor in 1996. Dr. Morgan serves on a number of public company Boards, including Franklin Electronic Publishers and Internet Brands, Inc. Mahbod Moghadam is the founder CEO of RapGenius. Mahbod graduated from Stanford Law School and worked as an attorney for the firm of Dewey & Leboeuf in New York before beginning work on Rap Genius. He is childhood friends with Tom and Ilan from their days at Yale University. Mahbod is Iranian and studied the history of Iran as an undergraduate. Rob joined First Round Capital in 2006. Rob came to First Round Capital from Omidyar Network where he was their first venture investor. Zimbra had many firsts – it pioneered AJAX, pioneered a new open source business model, a large channel strategy and blended a consumer product with a business offering in an innovative suite that sold to both the consumer and business segments. Satish was responsible for the sale of Zimbra to Yahoo for $350M – a contract he negotiated directly, without using a banker, on behalf of the board. Prior to founding Zimbra, Satish was VP of the Messaging Products Division at Openwave Systems, responsible for the email, unified messaging, voicemail, and instant messaging product lines selling to large carriers and ISPs. Satish managed both the engineering and product management teams, which had over 200 people and a $45M budget. Satish sold to and helped deploy into many large carriers in this role. At Openwave, Satish lead the team that partnered with Cisco to produce the first VxML-based voice browser as well as the industry’s first MMS server. Satish came to Openwave as part of the founding team at the unified messaging company Onebox, where he led engineering and network operations, and was instrumental in the sale of Onebox to Phone.com for $850M. Prior to Onebox, Satish was at Sun Microsystems’ JavaSoft Division from 1995 through 1998 where he was responsible for the conception, design and implementation of Java Server Pages (JSPs) which he introduced to the Java community at the JavaOne conference in 1998; in addition, he led the team that created the Java Server Framework which was licensed to IBM to form the core of the WebSphere product. He also led the team that designed and implemented the Java Servlet API. Satish previously held several product and engineering positions at IBM and Transarc Corporations. Satish has B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Sciences and an executive management degree from the Harvard Business School. Satish focuses on investments in the mobile, consumer and cloud computing areas. (Overture created the paid search business, now a $12 billion plus annual market in the US alone.) Overture was sold to Yahoo! in 2003 for $1.63 billion. Will is founder and CEO of Euclid Elements.  Euclid’s product is conceptually analogous to Google Analytics for the physical world.  Their customer base includes retailers, mall owners, and venue operators of many kinds.  Will was born into a retail family and spent his teenage years wandering through shopping malls thinking about dollars per square foot  and tenant mix optimization.   After Stanford and a stint in finance, he decided to merge his love of data and technology with his family history in retail.  Euclid was the result.  Euclid’s investors include Harrison Metal Capital and NEA.  

Yidrienne LaiVice President, Technology Crossover Ventures

Yidrienne joined Technology Crossover Ventures  in 2001 and returned to the firm in 2005 as Vice President. Yidrienne has twelve years of finance and private equity experience. Her primary investment focus is in the internet consumer sector. Yidrienne is actively involved with TCV’s investments in Groupon, HomeAway, Everyday Health, eBags, among others. Sizhao "Zao" Yang is a serial entrepreneur, and is from the Antarctica of the U.S. (Chicago). He enjoys experiencing life ADHD-style. He is frequently referred to as the "game guy" from creating Farmville, but hoping to shake that label by going into small & medium business software.
